- dreaded 801's!! You can get just about any decent modem to work with a
- 801 ACU, you just need a few settings to be correct. I currently have
- about 10 of them set up with Codex (Motorola) 3260 (or 3261) V.32bis
- modems. They run of of an old IBM 3725 controller. Used for old Bysync
- transmissions and stuff like that. I am asuming the UDS's you were
- refering to are 103 type modems. The 801's havent really changed much.
- I am using UDS 801 also. Codex remarketed the UDS 801 as their 2211,
- only difference was the color of the case (beige insted of blue).
- I don't think Codex/Motorola even makes 801's any more. Not sure if
- anyone does! I have a stash of them I dip into when one of mine croaks
- (not very often thankfully).
- If you really need the down and dirty, drop me a line.
